He is Norwegian but has lived in Denmark for 40 years. He speaks both languages fluently and is equally proficient in Swedish. Linguistically, the path to success in the Nordic countries is therefore secured when Per Erik Sørensen takes over as chair of the board of the Danish fintech company Process Factory.

In addition, Per Erik Sørensen brings solid experience from a long career in leadership and business development. He has experience as a partner at the insurance and pension brokerage firm Willis Towers Watson and most recently from several board positions in Denmark and Norway.

“We are incredibly pleased that Per has accepted the position. There is no doubt that, with his extensive leadership experience in international companies and his work on boards, he can contribute to further developing Process Factory,” says Susanne Møllegaard, CEO of Process Factory.

New integration platform to increase capacity

Process Factory is a highly specialized strategic IT development partner, primarily for Danish insurance companies and their partners.

The company specializes in third-party integration solutions and is about to launch a new hosted SaaS platform – Connector Plus. The platform will eventually encompass all critical third-party integrations for the insurance industry, such as a new claims cancellation solution, automatic tax calculation, and claims history.

“With the new platform, Process Factory significantly increases its capacity. We can further support insurance companies in their competition for customers. At the same time, it opens up resources to engage more with companies that have activities in the Nordic region. We can also help them with integrations that significantly reduce time-to-market,” says Per Erik Sørensen.

Aiming for constant growth and avoiding desperate sprints

One of the first things Per Erik Sørensen will do in his role as chair is to listen. He will listen to employees, the management, and the rest of the board to get close to the core of Process Factory.

“Strong statements and rigid KPIs are not my style. I desire to let the company grow steadily and constantly, so we can avoid desperate sprints towards a specific number. That being said, I would be disappointed if we couldn’t continue to deliver growth,” says Per Erik Sørensen.

With a tripled turnover of 10 to 30 million DKK in just a few years, Process Factory has demonstrated its growth potential.

“I am impressed with the company’s ability to execute. So, we will delve into the finer details when optimizing the development processes and the way tasks are handled. But that’s exactly where we can ensure that we have the strength and resources to advance the company,” he says.

Taking over a healthy business and a well-functioning workplace

Per Erik Sørensen takes over the chair role from Dane Lars Lysdal Jensen, who has been a part of the Process Factory board since 2018, initially as a member and later as chair.

He leaves behind a healthy business and a well-functioning workplace, and it is essential for Per Erik Sørensen to continue in that direction.

Process Factory should continue to be a workplace where people thrive and feel that they make a difference – two essential factors for attracting and retaining employees.

“Process Factory is filled with upstanding people who approach the task of creating functional digital solutions for the insurance industry with skill, ambition, and dedication. Their enthusiasm is contagious – I am incredibly excited to get started,” says Per Erik Sørensen.

The board expands from three to four members

Along with the change in the chair role, the board is expanding with one more member, Louise Sparf.

As of August 28, 2023, the Process Factory board consists of: Per Erik Sørensen (Chairman), Bettina Kyhl, Karsten Højer, and Louise Sparf.
